Life Update

March 7th, 2025

My life has been crazy since the first of the year, and I am not even exaggerating!! It felt like all of these unfortunate events kept happening... back to back. In a good and bad way, though!

On January 1st, our dog Blue suffered a pretty scary seizure and it opened a whole can of worms and other medical issues after. We brought him into the vet, they did a full work up, and everything came back normal. Our vet believes that he has epilepsy. Gianni is not sold on it, but it would make sense with his age range and having a small one in the past. He is also taking Apoquel, a very expensive allergy medication made for dogs. He has been on this pretty much his whole life, which makes me really sad, but since we got him he has always been our problem child. Anyway, we tried getting him off the Apoquel and his body FREAKED out. Tons of hair loss, hot spots, scabs, weight loss... he just wasn't the same dog. We still do not know exactly what made him better, but after two rounds of antibiotics, steroids, and switching foods, he seems to be getting back to his old, fluffy self!! YAY!

While all of this is going on, we are en route to Colorado to go see our new niece, I am renovating my office, leaving my corporate job to go fulfill another dream of being a floral designer at a greenhouse, actively undergoing my own medical issues, and running my business!! I told my husband that I think this is the most stressed I have ever been in my life! AH!

BUT, now it is March 7th, and I am starting to feel the warmer days coming, the depression lifting off my shoulders, and overall I am feeling much better and that is all that matters!

Some highlights of our trip to Colorado:

  • We ate a lot of yummy food & did a lot of shopping in Manitou Springs
  • Snuggled on our CUTIE of niece ( I can't post her online - but rest assured she is so dang cute!)
  • Explored the Native Caves and Garden of the Gods
  • Hiking
  • Relaxing
  • Captured some beautiful photos of my sister Jessica, her husband Nick, and Violet (my niece)
  • Got to love on the cutest Emu in the whole world

We were only there for 3 full days, so we really did a lot in the time that we were there! We were also very blessed with 60 degree sunny weather in the beginning of February!

I have a really busy schedule this year that is filled with TONS of weddings and I am SO excited to get in the swing of things! The rest of this month, I am catching up on spring cleaning and changing some decor/rooms in our home! We have been living in our house for almost five years now... and I am a person that likes change... so time to switch things up! But once April hits, its full swing into weddings!!

I also recently just got a branding shoot done because I REALLY needed some great updated headshots! I feel like those should be done at least once a year! Anyway, I am looking forward to all of what this year has to bring and I am feeling so thankful, blessed, and in awe that I get to live my dream life.

Tata for now!
